RabbitBridge connects different technologies.

We build software that makes a bridge between technologies that were not made to work together. Today that is two products: RabbitBridge Smart Home and Radio Data System (RDS).

RabbitBridge Smart Home

Your whole smart home. One app.

RabbitBridge Smart Home is software that puts the lights, plugs and sensors in your home into one app.

RabbitBridge Smart Home is in private testing. It is not on sale, and there is nothing to download yet.

What it is

Most smart homes end up with one app per brand. RabbitBridge Smart Home brings them together: one list of rooms, one set of scenes, one place to see what is on.

It works with devices that use open standards, such as MQTT, Zigbee and Z-Wave, so devices you already own show up next to each other.

The parts

The app

One app for iPhone, Android, Mac and Windows. This is where you see and control everything, build scenes and rules, and get alerts. It is not in the app stores yet.

The hub

Optional software you run at home, on a Raspberry Pi, a NAS or a small PC. It talks to your Zigbee, Z-Wave and MQTT devices on your own network, so the app can reach them even when the internet is down. It connects out to the cloud for remote access; you never open a port on your router.

The cloud

Our server. It lets the app reach your home when you are out, runs your timed schedules, and keeps the history of what happened.

What it does

Scenes

One tap sets a group of devices the way you like them — on, off or dimmed to a level. "Movie night" in one press.

Rules

"When this happens, do that." Start a rule from a device changing, a time of day, sunrise or sunset, a day of the week, or the weather. Add a wait, such as "turn the light off again after two minutes".

Schedules

Switch chosen devices at set times, or at sunrise or sunset, on the days you pick.

Away mode

While you are away, lights come on around sunset at slightly different times each night, so the house looks lived in. The app shows whether away mode is off, set for tonight, or running now, and lists every switch it plans.

Energy

Live power use and today's kWh for the whole home and for each plug that measures power.

Wall display

A full-screen view for a tablet on the wall: clock, weather, energy and your devices, one tap away.

Type or say a command

Type or speak "turn on the kitchen light", "all off in the lounge" or "set the bedroom light to 40%", and the app does it.

Alerts

The app tells you when the hub goes offline or a device stops responding.

Rooms and favourites

Group devices by room, star the ones you use most, and arrange the home screen the way you want it.

Radio Data System (RDS)

RabbitBridge connects your radio station's music playout system to your FM transmitter's RDS encoder.

You manage what your listeners see on their radios.

Radio Data System (RDS) is the standard that lets an FM radio carry a little text, such as the station name and the song playing, to the display on a car radio. RDS from RabbitBridge is software for the station that sends that text.

The console

Station staff sign in on the web, see what is on air as it changes, and edit it if their role allows. Staff have one of four roles: View only, DJ, Program Manager or Admin.

Song text from your automation

Your playout or automation sends the song text to the server when the song changes, and the server sends it to the encoder.

The encoder

The server drives your RDS encoder through a link at the station, over a network connection.

For your website

The server also gives your station's website the now-playing text as a public feed, as JSON or plain text.
